Kathipara Urban square - Festive

Kathipara Urban square is the recreation spot in Guindy which came up around 2019. Initially it was similar to any park in Chennai. Then came up the stores, mainly for food. Few bigger restaurants like Junior Kuppanna, ID and KFC also started their existence. Parents and kids got attracted to the game zone which is below the ground level. Recently the Urban Square was complimented by the Up town . This space comes very close to the parking space of the Kathipara Urban square. The shops here and the space around where occupied by small time sellers with their stalls. This ranged from clothes, footwear, interior design items, handcrafts, readymade food, etc. Called by the Kalaa Utsav this gave a festive look to the Kathipara as interested buyer flanked at the Kathipara. Chennai is taking a all new make over with the Urban Square and the Uptown.  Way to GO!

Gandikota trip - Day 2 - Belum Caves

The second day at Gandikota was again a rainy onw with heavy thunders the previous night. Seeing sunrise was ruled out but we set out at 7AM after a quick refreshment. Most of the shops were shut due to power cuts since it's been raining continuously since last night, managed to get mini cup chai for Rs.10 and went to the right of the fort where we could see a different view of the creek. The air-conditioned tent accommodations are also here. Also, adventure sports happen here. The place was shabby due to overnight rains and the tourists had littered the place completely with bottles, glass pieces and food items. This happens in most of the tourist places, unless the visitors take the responsibility to keep the place clean, government cannot help maintaining. As we went through the restaurants nearby, no food was available due to lack of power. So we decided to drive to Jammalamadugu for breakfast. Within 20 mins we reached Jammalamadugu, it was a beautiful morning owing to weathe

Gandikota trip - Day 1 - Fort, Gorge

After much deliberation we decided to take the trip to Gandikota, in Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district. An adventurous location at 350 kms away from Chennai and in a neighbouring state was a first for us. We decided to do it as a weekend trip, so left Chennai on a Saturday morning. Leaving Chennai at 5:30 AM, we took the Nellore route to Jammalamadugu, the nearest town to Gandikota. Internet said, there is not much stays in Gandikota except the AP government owned one. So we decided to stay in Jammalamadugu and drive up to Gandikota the next day. We had our breakfast at RS Bhavan at Sholavaram. Food and price was recommendable. After this it was continuous drive towards  Jammalamadugu.  Once we crossed over to Andhra Pradesh at Tada it was a easy drive as the roads were reasonably good and there was almost no traffic expect for the patches where we had to navigate through small towns. We were able to reach Jammalamadugu around 12:30pm. When we contacted our local friend, the sugges
