We went on the trial in the Porur Kundrathur road to visit the mentioned 3 temples. First was the Kovur Sundareswarar temple reminding as very much of the Othandeeswar temple in Thirumazhisai. Reached there in 3.5 kilometers from Porur junction. This is very old temple and a Bhudhan-sthalam.  Gopura darisanam kodi punniyam is what ones feels looking at the Sundareswarar temple gopuram. The lord resides here along with his Soundarambikai amman.  When we went in, the a team was singing  prayers to the easwaran. Such staunch believer of Thirumal was Thirumazhisai alwar. This weekend we decided to visit Thirumazhisai near to city (20 kms) housing the oldest temples. As soon as you take the right to Thirumazhisai from Poonamalee high road you can see the Othandeeswar temple gopuram with in few minutes on to your right hand side. The temple is under renovation. Typical to any Easwaran temple of ancient chola times, the Shiva lingam is the main deity with Ambal to his left; Othandeeswar also sits there in all holiness with his Kulirndhanayagi. After praying to the Easwar the inner most praharam starts with Vinayaka, Dhakshinamoorthy, Durga, Nataraja and ends with Kulirndhanayagi's glorious darshan. Once outside the inner praharam we walk beyond N

Maasil veenaiyum maalai madhiyamum veesu thendralum veenkila venilum mosu vandarai poygayum ponradhe Esan endhai inayadi nizhale sings the great nayanmar Appar. That was how we were blessed with Ramanatheeswarar darshan on a evening in Porur.   As the name suggests this temple came into existence due to Sri Rama's penance in the forest while accidently laying foot on a siva lingam. He had then worshipped Siva for 48 days as his penitence. Thus goes the history of this ancient temple.   The temple gopuram has been recently renovated. The statues in the gopuram stand evidence to Tamilian's sculptural skills. Known as 'Sthabathi' they have exhibited their art in various temples across the globe.   After entering the temple one is blown away by the magnificent look of it. The Kodi maram and Savagama Sundari sannadhi are immediate in sight. When you go further in across the vast praharam the Easwarar sannadhi is visible. Huge nandhi is at one end while the Sivan
