Forum Mall - Chennai

Decided to do a mall visit at the end year which was otherwise outings deprived due to covid pandemic. Located in the busy part of Chennai, Vadapalani this shopping giant has just removed the traces of the Vijaya marriage halls - Vijaya sesha mahal and Vijaya vani mahal. Once popular and elite marriage halls have paved way to the Forum Vijaya mall housing the most famous brand stores. Near to the Vadapalani bus terminus this mall lies long side the Vijaya hospital. Vijaya Vahini studios of yester years has morphed itself against times. Vadapalani metro station provides commute to the mall through battery operated car service. Many convenient modes to travel to the mall for the city dwellers. The entrance to the mall ensures sanitizing and temperature check. When we entered from the parking lot also the same process was followed. The shopping mall floor numbers were different from that of the parking lot. While entering from the second floor of the parking we landed in the floor of the ...

Tamil makkal movement

வாழிய செந்தமிழ் வாழ்கநற்றமிழர்! வாழிய பாரத மணித்திருநாடு! -Bharathiyaar The whole world watched in awe how a protest can be held in a peaceful manner with almost dignity. The protestation of Tamilians can serve as a model to any group protest across the globe. This protest had high standard - no individuals were crowned as leaders, both genders had equal participation in the common social cause, and it was non-violent. None of the public property were damaged, in fact the liter at the Marina beach was cleaned by these people. Under the watchful of the 24/7 media the protestors just excelled in their behavior sending strong signal to the world. This paved way for Tamilians at various parts of the globe to unite and express their solidarity as well. As Indians each of us got the true taste of what democracy is. The government/court which always had the option of regulating ...

So we had to reach there from Chennai via Bangalore. A three state travel! Having heard about Chennai – Bangalore highway, wanted to drive through this NH ever since we got the car. Planned to stop over at Mysore then reach Wayanad. Started from Chennai by 7am, took NH48 and NH275 route via Vellore, Hosur, Electronics city to Mysore. After having breakfast at Kanchipuram and filling the fuel tank of our car, the journey kick-started. Being a week day we had great difficulty with traffic (mainly due to engineering college buses) till Kanchipuram. Marvelous infrastructure – road was worth the tolls charged. Had paid Rs.500 as toll to reach Mysore. Booking.com came to our res...
