Our wanderings and perceptions

 This new year saw the Botanical Garden coming to Chennai to the heart of the city - Semmozhi Poonga. We are thrilled to see the likes of Botanical Gardens belonging to hill stations in our very own Chennai. The Tamilnadu Horticulture department has done a fabulous job in setting this up. Managing the crowd was a nightmare for the organizers. Parking was a challenge - Rs. 20 for 2-wheelers. Separate counter were split up for cash and upi. For each adult Rs. 200 was charged as entrance fee, As were went through the garden, there was a small amphi-theatre at the rear end and on that a 3 member team was performing some Tamil film song enjoyed a mass of audience.
