Jaipur is full of forts and palaces depicting Monarchy. The kings here had friendly relation with Mughal empire so their assets have stayed in tact and they had continued to live their life with any trouble. Their architecture is hugely influenced by Mughals. The dooms of the mahals and the sheesh mahals are obvious proofs. Also during the British reign the Kings here maintained cordial relationships and hence there had been no harm done to their structures and also we don't see any Anglian buildings in this city unlike other cities in India. The bazaar shops are leased and the Royals receive the benefits. The Royal family still owns major properties in the city like the mahals and current Royal who is 27 yrs old still enjoys the privileges. He stays in London and often visits Jaipur. Anyone can have a visit/luncheon with the Royal for Rs.3000 fare. We wanted to do a North India trip for a very long time and got to reminisce it through this Jaipur trip.
